Workforce Availability
- A 2000 workforce study included Cayuga, Seneca, Ontario, Wayne and Monroe Counties and showed 58,200 unemployed and underemployed workers (PF Resources study, 2000). For Newark and its 20-mile radius, this means that large numbers of residents make daily commutes out of the county for work.
- Area employees have a strong work ethic; high skill and experience levels; and contemporary quality program and management systems experience from training received at respected companies such as Kodak and Xerox.
- A wide range of regional demographic data is available, provided by Greater Rochester Enterprise, our regional economic development organization.
"The greatest advantage is the work force. We have dedicated, hard-working production employees and an exceptional professional management pool. We are able to draw west from Rochester and east from Syracuse metropolitan areas. We have the best employees, who are very dedicated with little attrition."
